Create and Keep Good Jobs

Jesse James believes it's time for our district to get its fair share of economic development opportunities. He will work to attract new employers, help existing businesses expand and provide training opportunities for our workers. His top priority will be creating and keeping stable, good-paying jobs.

Place Our Students First

Jesse James will never vote for a state budget that hurts our local students and schools. He knows we need to adequately fund all local schools, find ways to increase full-day kindergarten options and make sure that a college education is within reach of all Hoosiers.

Improve Our Quality of Life

A lifelong resident of Southwestern Indiana, Jesse James understands what's important to us. He will fight for fair property taxes, affordable health care and increased government accountability. And Jesse will be a leading voice in protecting the conservative Hoosier traditions that so many of us cherish.

Jesse James for District 45

Indiana House of Representatives

Jesse is proud to be from small-town Indiana.  He is proud to call our region his home and stomping grounds, and he believes home is worth fighting for.

We deserve a fair shake at wholesome representation.

This requires active, accessible, and accountable officials. It requires crisp ideas instead of the stale usual.

Today is the time we fight for rural Indiana.

Today is the time we champion the concerns of our towns.

Today is the time we make students, jobs, and small-town quality of life our top priorities.

Your voice in the Statehouse must be free from pettiness, complacency, and incivility. Your representation must be independent and based on commonsense. It must reflect the conservative traditions of our community, yet be responsive to new ideas.

We can no longer accept politics as usual. We must not bicker over misplaced priorities. We need fresh ideas and energetic advocates to move us forward.

To have a strong State, we must have an even stronger Southwest Indiana. We are rural Hoosiers. Rolling up our sleeves and tackling problems is what we do. We appreciate a good education, we know how to work hard, and we respect family values.  The Statehouse can use this kind of thinking.

There are no guarantees that shaking things up will be easy. But worth it? Yes!

With your help, we can make tomorrow’s Indiana a better Indiana.
